40 UK Festivals You Can Still Book in 2026
UK festival season is in full swing, offering something for every taste, from nu-metal nostalgia to family-friendly fun. Early June kicks off at Donington with Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, and Guns N’ Roses headlining the UK’s biggest rock festival. Fans of heavier sounds will find cosmic death metal from Blood Incantation, hardcore from Drain, and doom-punk from Die Spitz further down the bill. The Isle of Wight Festival follows from 18 to 21 June, with a weekend shaped perfectly around headline acts: emotive pop with Lewis Capaldi, energetic hits from Calvin Harris, and a Sunday evening closing with goth icons the Cure. TRNSMT in Glasgow runs from 19 to 21 June, filling urban park spaces with 50,000 festival-goers per day, featuring Richard Ashcroft, Wolf Alice, Nile Rodgers & Chic, CMAT, Lewis Capaldi, and Amy Macdonald.
State Fayre in Chelmsford from 26 to 28 June brings rock, Americana, and country together, with Kings of Leon, the Lumineers, and Alanis Morissette taking the stage. Creamfields returns to Daresbury, Cheshire, from 27 to 30 August, celebrating 20 years of dance music with sets from Disclosure, Sonny Fodera, and hundreds more across techno, trance, and drum’n’bass stages. Reading and Leeds Festivals also take place over the same weekend, featuring Charli XCX, Florence + the Machine, Chase & Status, Fontaines DC, Dave, and Raye. End of the Road in Wiltshire from 3 to 6 September celebrates its 20th anniversary with Pulp, Super Furry Animals, CMAT, Ty Segall, Beverly Glenn-Copeland, and Lucinda Williams.
Family-friendly options include Bearded Theory in Derbyshire from 20 to 24 May, offering music alongside a children’s school program and workshops. Knockengorroch in Scotland, 21 to 24 May, focuses on Celtic roots and family activities, while Womad returns to Glasgow and Wiltshire in July with global sounds and dedicated kids’ areas. Latitude, Truck, and Camp Bestival provide midsummer options for both adults and children, combining music, comedy, food, and workshops. Big Feastival in Chipping Norton, 28 to 30 August, also blends live music, comedy, and food experiences suitable for all ages.
Non-camping city festivals include Gala in London, 22 to 24 May, and Love Saves the Day in Bristol, 23 to 24 May, both offering day-long celebrations of club and dance culture. Slam Dunk festival takes place on 23 and 24 May in Hatfield and Leeds, focusing on pop-punk and hardcore acts. Mighty Hoopla in London, 30 to 31 May, is a queer-friendly pop festival, while Parklife in Manchester, 20 to 21 June, offers high-energy dance and grime sets. Reggae Land in Milton Keynes, 31 July to 2 August, celebrates reggae and Afrobeats with Burna Boy, Beenie Man, Shaggy, and Vybz Kartel. All Points East in London, 21-23 and 28-30 August, brings Lorde, Tyler, the Creator, Jorja Smith, and Deftones to multiple stages.
Scenic and boutique festivals include Eden in Dumfries and Galloway, 11 to 14 June, Gottwood in Anglesey, 11 to 14 June, and Deer Shed in North Yorkshire, 24 to 26 July. Wilderness in Oxfordshire, 30 July to 2 August, mixes music with wellness and comedy. Boardmasters, 5 to 9 August in Cornwall, combines surfing and music, while Krankenhaus in Cumbria, 28 to 30 August, offers indie acts in a historic castle setting. Victorious in Southsea, 28 to 30 August, presents ten stages of music from Kasabian, the Black Keys, Scissor Sisters, Richard Ashcroft, and Basement Jaxx.
Adventurous music options include Cheltenham Jazz Festival, 29 April to 4 May, AVA in Belfast, 29 to 30 May, and Love Supreme in East Sussex, 3 to 5 July, offering jazz, rap, and socially conscious music. Cambridge Folk Festival, 1 to 2 August, showcases folk and neo-folk artists. ArcTanGent, 19 to 22 August in Bristol, features progressive rock and metal acts. The Long Road festival in Leicestershire, 27 to 30 August, focuses on country, Americana, and indie-folk. Shambala, 27 to 30 August in Northampton, highlights emerging UK artists and performance art.
Indoor showcases include Focus Wales, 7 to 9 May in Wrexham, The Great Escape, 13 to 16 May in Brighton, Highways at the Royal Albert Hall, 15 to 17 May, and Dot to Dot in Bristol and Nottingham, 23 to 24 May. Manchester Psych Fest, 5 September, rounds out the list with experimental, psychedelic, and indie acts. UK festival-goers in 2026 have a record-breaking variety of events to choose from, ensuring music lovers of every age and taste can find their perfect experience.
